The book “Una planta sota el mar. El prat de gram a la badia de Roses ” focuses on Cymodocea nodosa , or popularly known as gram , a marine phanerogam that occupies an area of 800 hectares in the bay of Roses.

The extensive meadow that forms this plant serves as a refuge for a large number of species, becoming a very important ecosystem from an ecological and economic point of view.

Despite its relevance, ecologically linking three natural parks of l’Empordà, it has been largely unknown for years.

In this book, Alive Fundació presents, in a graphic and informative way, all the information it has been collecting from this space and from the studies that have been developed there, without forgetting the threats and the anthropic pressure to which it is subjected .

This is the first volume of the “La Guita” collection, the name of the first stork in the reintroduction project of the species in the Aiguamolls de l’Empordà. With her he learned the technique of environmental seduction . And that is exactly what this collection of books aims to do: to seduce the reader so that by bringing him closer to the environment, he will love it more and contribute to its conservation.
