Becoming a godfather is a very special way to keep informed about how your ibis is progressing and to find out what it does in its day-to-day life, its state of health, what character it shows, how it relates to the rest of the group, etc.
In addition, it gives you the personal satisfaction of knowing that you are contributing to removing the hermit ibis from the list of most endangered species!
What do we use the funds raised for?
The project to reinforce European northern bald ibis populations that we are carrying out in the Empordà requires the maintenance of a large aviary, the daily feeding of more than 30 animals, with the necessary vitamin supplements, and the provision of a GPS designed for migratory birds that we place on each of them at the time of release, as well as the rings. In addition, the technical team and volunteers behind this project make it possible to move forward day by day. For this reason, it is also necessary to provide them with material to be able to develop their spots.
