The Ballena Alegre campsite has celebrated, for the second consecutive year, the Conscient Fair , a meeting space focused on promoting and disseminating the Ballena Model, “regenerative tourism contributing positive impacts to the planet”.
On Saturday 29th morning, the vice-president and patron of the Alive Fundació, Jordi Sargatal, took part in the round table on this “Whale Model” to introduce the Estanys d’Empordà lakes recovery project. A project that also wants to collaborate closely with the campsite in the regeneration of water, with a natural lagooning system in the space between the campsite and the Riuet.
Sargatal shared the space with Josep Ramon Sainz (DPastura), Oriol Armet (Pioneers of our Time Foundation) and Orson Acosta, head of sustainability at La Ballena Alegre.
In the afternoon it was the turn of the coordinator of marine activities of the foundation, Boris Weitzmann, developing the workshop “Knowing to preserve”. During the session, Weitzmann presented the book ” A plant under the sea ” and emphasized the importance of conserving the dune system and the gram grasslands.
At the last edition of the Conscient Fair, Weitzmann and Alive Fundació were present explaining the ” Un Pop de Gram ” project.
